Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.
This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery. My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple. Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy. This Wedding was so much fun! Jessica and Paul married at the Turtle bay point at Caneel Bay, probably my favorite ceremony spot on the whole island! I posted a couple a little while back as well.

I loved the subtleness of this bouquet.
Jessica and Paul had a very cool idea for the cocktail hour, the guests would take a polaroid photo of themselves then put it in the photo guest book and write a message.

Kate and Jonny were married at the beautiful Cinnamon Breeze Villa in Peter Bay. Their Wedding was catered by the fantastic Laura of Passion Fruit Chefs and the flowers were by Susan Pratt at Passion Flower!

I LOVE this image! Every time Jonny looked at Kate you could just tell he was thinking how incredibly lucky he was to be marrying her. it was just so sweet!

Karey and Flint were married in late October on Trunk Bay and chose to have their receptions at one of the best restaurants on the island, Rhumb Lines! It was perfect.
They are so cute together.
Wow, you can just feel the emotions in this photograph.

This caught my eye while editing. I love my job, but moments like this just make it that much better! This photograph of Jessica and her bridesmaids right before her ceremony make me thankful for the relationships girls share! I just love it, Jessica had so many great girlfriends!
I also found this one that I absolutely LOVE! They have SO many great friends!

I've been looking forward to this wedding for a while! Ann is a wedding planner for Katilady Katerers and is so wonderful to work with. Contact Ann or Hannah to coordinate your day! This wedding was full of locals (which I'm not used to) and it was great, I'm now known as "Photographer Greer" by the attendees. The flowers were by Susan Pratt atPassion Flower and were so gorgeous!

I know I've been MIA lately... I promise I will post ALL the weddings that I've shot this last month very very soon!! If your waiting to see your preview you won't have to wait much longer. Thanks for being so patient... I'm trying to get everything done.
Updates:~I finally found a new office, definitely outgrew the old one pretty fast! It's at the Marketplace and I love it. I finally have space to breath! ~Matthew and I have been working hard to get the season started right and with all the right equipment to suit my clients needs. I have 4 new lenses coming that I just ordered, so if your wedding is coming up get ready! ~I'm having a new blog designed and will be full of large photos, lots of client resources and even a section for photographers and will be wicked awesome!! Can you tell I'm excited!?~I can NOT believe it's almost Thanksgiving!
