Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.
This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery. My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple. Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy. Karen and John were married at Concordia an eco-resort out on the South Shore of St.John. The view is amazing and it is so different out there then anywhere else on St.John since the whole camp is run on solar energy and is as you can imagine, very down to earth.
Their ceremony was held at Little Lameshur Bay even farther down the road then this out of the way spot.
Thanks to my rad balancing skills I was able to capture these next two shots.

Jessica and Dan came from Cambridge, MA for their Wedding and chose to have it at The Caneel Bay Resort. I'm so glad they found me and asked me to photograph their day. I had a great time getting to know them and their families.
I loved Jessica's dress!

Jessica and Dan opted to see each other before the ceremony which is so great because it gives me way more time to photograph both of them together and makes for a more relaxed ceremony.
We made our way down to Turtle Bay which is very small and private, perfect for wedding day photos!
I love this one!
We had a great time!
One might think that seeing each other before the ceremony ruins the whole "seeing her come down the aisle" expression and moment for the groom, but this photo proves otherwise.

Adam and Melinda were married on Inauguration day a few days ago at Gull Cottage in Great Cruz Bay. Their Ceremony was at Trunk Bay (one of the top ten beaches in the world!) in the late afternoon, Perfect! I only spent a few hours with them but their whole family was so welcoming and interested in me, it really was a pleasure.
Melinda's dress was amazing in the wind, so light and airy.
Melinda was a beautiful bride.
Adam was a very delighted groom.
This is Dave (I think) they had a more then a few names for him...
I'm in love with this image!
So I could tell Melinda had good taste from her dress and she's a girl...but so does Adam, look at this engagement ring! and Melinda's set of two skinny diamond covered bands were to die for!

Bree and Jamieson were married at the beautiful Villa Rotunda in upper Peter Bay. They had a small wedding of 12 with just family attending. It was absolutely beautiful, Bree and Jamieson are so sweet with each other.

Greer ~ A-mazing!!!! you are so talented and I LOVE all the pictures. Indeed, you not only have rad balancing skills but rad everything skills. Good eye on picking out the spot on the rock; everyone has been chiming in that it looks like an advertisement. I'm just can't believe it's John and I up there. Can't wait to see the rest. PS - LOVE the pics of Lucca. What a cutie and she looks like she has so much energy :)
