Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.
This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery. My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple. Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy. Stephanie and Paul were married at Trunk Bay and chose to have their reception at Kalorama Villa .

Stephanie's mom made this gorgeous dress for her, the detail on the bottom of the dress was used for all their details for their day.
I absolutely love this ring shot.
I'm finally back from my trip and will have pictures up soon!

I know that Lisa and Michael have been waiting patiently for a sneak peek of their wedding photos and while the internet is good here in the Dominican Republic I'll make it quick. They had a wonderful ceremony at The Westin Resort and a fabulous reception at Asolare Restaurant

Alexis and Tom were married a couple weeks ago at Hawksnest Bay on the North shore of St.John. They had a intimate ceremony with a reception at Vistaero Villa. They also scheduled a day after session with me...coming up next!
Their rings were so beautiful I couldn't decide which photo I liked better.
Alexis looked so elegant.
Love this shot as she gets ready to see Tom for the first time before the ceremony.
And they finally see each other!
It was a gorgeous day and I LOVED the pink umbrellas all the guests had.

Marcy and Derek were married at the end of April, the first of my "spring rush". I've been looking forward to this wedding since the first time I met Marcy a year ago. They chose to have the ceremony at Cinnamon Bay and their reception at Asolare.
They chose to see each other before the ceremony and it was a very emotional moment for both of them.
Marcy's vows were very moving.

I love the way her dress moved in the wind.
I took this while the guests were eating dinner. It's Cruz Bay harbor and St.Thomas. You can actually see our boat way down there.
