Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.

       This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery.

My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. 

       I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple.  Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy.

Barbara and Rob-Engagement session
Barbara and Rob are so laid back and easy going.  They should be...they live in Hawaii.  I shot their engagement photos on St.Thomas a few days ago and I'm very excited for their wedding in a few days on July 3rd!  Rob is originally from St.Thomas, so all the pre-wedding festivities are over there, but the wedding will be on St.John.

Instead of a traditional engagement ring, Rob chose to give Barbara this necklace with matching Tahitian pearls.  He proposed in Tahiti and they chose the pearls together.

This dog was walking with its owner as we were leaving... He's only 8 months old! We thought he was more like 8.

Lindsay and Jeorry

Lindsay and Jeorry are the coolest!  We had a blast shooting their engagement session at Cinnamon Bay.  Lindsay's family had rented a motor yacht, which they do every year, and travel through the BVI and USVI.


Lindsay and Jeorry have known each other since 6th grade and are on their seventh year as a couple.  As Lindsay said it was worth the wait!

Staci and Dan
I loved soo many photos from this fun engagement session with Staci and Dan! I had to limit myself just because it's so time consuming but I know that Staci is dying to see them so here is a little sneak peek!



Staci & Dan-I had such a good time laughing with you guys! I hope you have a wonderful vacation on St.John and come back to visit soon.

Christina and Tom

Tom and Christina have been together for four years and are getting married next March. They were so adorable and had such great chemistry together, I have no doubt in my mind they will have a happy happy life together.

As usual I just loved too many of the photos to choose a few so there are a lot! Christina had the cutest laugh and could not stop laughing and smiling at Tom.

I love how Tom and Christina were ready to just about do anything, it makes my job so much easier! They laid in the sand, splashed each other in the water and kissed till their lips were probably chapped!
