Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.
This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery. My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple. Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy. If I haven't talked to you lately, I'm finally back from Italy! It was way too much fun and I'm exhausted from traveling and having so many new experiences. I'm starting to get caught up here and really enjoying my summer life on the vineyard. I'll post some portraits soon.
While in Italy Matthew and I visited Limite Sull' Arno, where we stayed in a really nice villa for the week, we did day trips to Pisa, Sienna, went on a full day hike through 5 towns called Cinque Terre, San Gimignano, Florence and Lucca. We then traveled to Venice, Bologna, Rimini, Rome, Chiusi and Montepulciano before heading back to Florence. We traveled mostly by train and had the most romantic, adventurous, spontaneous trip we could have imagined! We literally looked on the map when we were ready to leave somewhere and chose where to go next.
I've been way too busy to sort through the THOUSANDS of photos I have to post any, but for now here's one of Venice (our fave!).
I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!

Jonathan and Olivia were married on June 2nd at Trunk Bay by Anne Marie Porter. They eloped and kept the secret from their friends and family! They have been a couple for 10 years!

On the last day of May, Lindsey and Matt were married at the Ritz Carlton on St.Thomas.
It was a beautiful ceremony at the cliff gazebo overlooking the water.

I'm finally back from Italy and will start to catch up on blogging and also blog some photos from our trip!

On May 24th I had the honor of spending the evening with Tina Felix and 50 of her closest friends and family. Tina is a wonderful and spirited woman and does not seem 50 at all!
Her awesome party was on the point at Gallows Point Resort.

Mathayom Vacharat of St.John Catering catered the party and let me tell you it was the BEST catered food I have EVER had! check them out! oh and he's awesome as well.
