Hi, My name is Greer Rivera.
This blog documents my life as a professional photographer, it includes photos from recent shoots, offers helpful tips for your wedding, island info, as well as my personal and travel imagery. My business is based on St.John, US Virgin Islands where I spend my winters, and Martha's Vineyard where I grew up and still return for summers. I believe photography should be natural, classic, clean and simple. Whether photographing weddings, kids, families, or commercial assignments, I create organic editorial imagery with a genuine life-stylistic approach that is full of energy. Adam and Melinda were married on Inauguration day a few days ago at Gull Cottage in Great Cruz Bay. Their Ceremony was at Trunk Bay (one of the top ten beaches in the world!) in the late afternoon, Perfect! I only spent a few hours with them but their whole family was so welcoming and interested in me, it really was a pleasure.
Melinda's dress was amazing in the wind, so light and airy.
Melinda was a beautiful bride.
Adam was a very delighted groom.
This is Dave (I think) they had a more then a few names for him...
I'm in love with this image!
So I could tell Melinda had good taste from her dress and she's a girl...but so does Adam, look at this engagement ring! and Melinda's set of two skinny diamond covered bands were to die for!

Here are some more shots of the fun shoot I did for Ranifly bikinis, Rani and her boyfriend Chris were awesome helping me out all day while Rani was also playing "Art director". 
The other day we gathered some girls, Megan Dolan who is a St.Johnian, you might see her waiting tables at Happy Fish, the sushi place at the Marketplace and Tia Calvo who is from Western Australia but has been traveling the world alone for a year and a half! Some of the places she's been are New Zealand, American Samoa, Tortola, BVI., Costa Rica and Nicaragua plus many many others! She is one lucky girl and I'm so glad we got to meet her and be part of her adventure, my friend Chelsea met her while surfing in Tortola about a month ago and invited her over and she's been staying with her ever since!
Next week she is off to continue her adventures in Puerto Rico then on to Cuba and eventually up to the states!

Wow, these are fabulous, and the swimsuits are just as good. The one of the girl on the ledge with the ocean below shows such texture, dimension and intrigue. Who's your mother anyway??? This is what I saw the other day while leaving my office at the Marketplace. I didn't have time to go back inside to get my big camera so I took this one with my iPhone. 
There is no photoshop done to this image, just natural yumminess! It really was breathtaking.
